Career Highlights
This season he debuts at the Opéra National de Bordeaux in the title role of Les contes d’Hoffmann and at ENO in Madam Butterfly. North American performances include Carmen (Tulsa Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis), La bohème (Opera Carolina) and Rusalka (Cincinnati Opera).
An alumus of the Ensemble at Opera Vlaanderen in Antwerp, he works with a distinguished list of conductors and directors, including Mariame Clément, Vincent Huguet, Alexander Joel, Daniel Kramer, Cornelius Meister, Jonathan Miller, Marc Minkowski, Tomaš Netopil and Giacomo Sagripanti.
Born in Northern England, he studied the violin from the age of 4 and having been accepted with a scholarship, graduated from the RNCM with a first-class honours degree in music with additional degrees from the International Opera Course at the Guildhall and a Master of Music with Distinction. He now lives in Philadelphia with his wife, soprano Corinne Winters.
