ENO congratulates John Cooke on being recognised with an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List.
John has just celebrated 25 years as Board Secretary. John has also sat on the ENO Benevolent Board including ten years as Chair.
In all these roles John’s service has been exceptional; discreet with an unrelenting eye for detail and a valuable adviser at all times. It is important to note that his roles have been voluntary which makes his dedication even more remarkable.
Harry Brunjes, Chair, states, “This award is fully deserved and much appreciated. In the case of John Cooke MBE means ‘Magnificent Benevolence to ENO’. After 25 years John is no longer an unsung hero”.
