ENO Chorus Fellowship for Ethnically Diverse Singers (Bass)
Salary: £37,242.96
English National Opera is founded on the belief that opera of the highest quality should be accessible to everyone and was set up to be for everyone. It is for this reason that we stage opera of the highest quality always sung in English. It is why we have ticket prices which are affordable, or free, if you’re under 18. It Is why we work with local communities to bring opera to people who might otherwise not experience it.
ENO’s ambition is to achieve greater diverse representation and this forms part of our inclusion strategy which will continue to evolve and develop over time to reflect the society in which we operate in our work on stage, in our audiences and in our workplace.
Ethnically diverse singers currently represent 12% of the permanent ENO Chorus. We believe that ethnically diverse singers are not only under-represented in opera choruses, but face additional barriers in accessing adequate mentoring and training. This fellowship was established to begin to address this issue. The fellowship aims to offer ethnically diverse singers the opportunity to develop their career in a supportive environment.
