The 2024/25 ENO Harewood Artists Match Campaign
9th December 2024 in News
We are thrilled to tell you that our Harewood Artists Match Campaign has raised £170,187.
Huge thanks to everyone who generously donated. You are supporting the training of our eight amazing singers on the Harewood Artists programme this season and you will help nurture and develop the next generation of opera talent at ENO.
We are very grateful to our eight Match Funders who so kindly donated the Matched Funds that saw every donation made between 25 November and 8 December matched and doubled pound for pound.
The backdrop to this year’s campaign were our two fabulously fun productions – The Elixir of Love and The Pirates of Penzance as both casts boasted a wealth of Harewood talent past and present including: Anna Elizabeth Cooper, Dan D’Souza, Rhian Lois, William Morgan and Isabelle Peters.
Forging a career in opera takes dedication, hard work and huge amounts of support – financial and otherwise – hence the need for us to run campaigns like Harewood Match. We are so grateful for all the donations and the outpouring of love and support for our aspiring opera singers.
ENO Head of Casting & Talent Development, Matthew Broom said:
“On behalf of our ENO Harewood Artists, Jane Robinson, Head of Vocal Training & Development, my colleague Rachel Webber in the Casting Team and the whole ENO family, I would like to thank you for your fantastic support of the 2024/25 Harewood Artists Match Campaign.
All money raised directly funds the ENO Harewood Artists training programme in the 2024/25 Season. Your contribution ensures that our eight hugely talented singers will receive bespoke coaching and support while covering and performing principal roles with us, thanks to your continued and generous support.
I’m sure you’ll agree that it is a pleasure and a privilege to see their careers flourish and I hope you feel a sense of pride when you see them in an ENO show or performing elsewhere nationally or internationally.
We have enjoyed so many great performances from our Harewood Artists and alumni this autumn season and are looking forward to more in The Marriage of Figaro and Mary, Queen of Scots in spring 2025.”
