ENO announces new appointment for Orchestra Leader

English National Opera (ENO) are thrilled to announce that David Adams will join the Orchestra of ENO as Leader for the start of the 2025/26 Season.
He will also join the Orchestra of ENO for their performance of Mazeppa at Grange Park Opera between June to July 2025.
David is currently Leader of the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera and tutor in violin at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Passionate about chamber music, David is co-Artistic Director of the Penarth Chamber Music Festival alongside his wife, cellist Alice Neary.
Equally at home on violin and viola he has made regular guest appearances with the Nash Ensemble, Endellion String Quartet, Gould Piano Trio and Hebrides Ensemble and as a guest leader has performed with almost all the UK symphony and chamber orchestras.
David is a trustee of the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
