Sir Jonathan Miller

Sir Jonathan Miller had a four-decade relationship with ENO. His long association with the company was celebrated in November 2016 in an evening-length tribute at the London Coliseum entitled Marvellous Miller, and he was presented with the inaugural ENO Lilian Baylis Fellowship Award. Apart from his international engagements as an opera director, he worked for theatres in London, Europe and the USA. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a Foreign Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
His productions for ENO were The Marriage of Figaro, The Turn of the Screw, Arabella, Otello, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute, The Mikado, Tosca, The Barber of Seville, Carmen, La traviata, La bohème, Der Rosenkavalier and The Elixir of Love.
