Solo artists

ENO grants auditions for principal roles and covers to professional opera singers on an invitation-only basis.

The artist or their management should contact ENO’s casting manager or email [email protected] with requests for an audition.

Please note that we perform all operas in English so if it is not the artist’s first language they may be required to offer an aria in English.

If you are also interested in chorus work, please state this clearly in your covering email/letter, and include any relevant experience on your CV.

Membership of the ENO Harewood Artists programme is by invitation only.

Chorus

Orchestra

Music staff

Trainee repetiteur

ENO holds auditions twice a year for the trainee repetiteur position. It’s a full-time post, over a period of six months.

The successful candidate’s duties would include playing opera reductions, coaching singers in their roles, surtitling performances, playing in the orchestra or conducting off-stage – these are all duties that we would expect from a full-time member of music staff.
