Casual Stage Crew

£14.19 per hour

Based at London Coliseum, flexible hours

The English National Opera offers something different – world-class, accessible opera, available to everyone. Our Stage Crew are at the heart of the team that brings the creative vision to life, and we’re recruiting talented people to join us.

With a packed and varied programme coming up at Coliseum, it’s an exciting time to join our skilled and ambitious Technical Department. As a member of our Stage Crew, you’ll assist with fitting up and building scenery, participating in scene changes, loading and unloading scenic equipment and helping out with any other tasks under our unique proscenium arch.

We’re looking for people who have experience assembling and building modular and temporary structures, decorating skills (these can be carpentry, joinery or metalwork) knowledge of hoist rigging and control and the ability to safely use battery and mains operated handheld tools.

We’re looking for candidates with operational stage experience in a professional theatre environment, with enthusiasm for the work of the ENO, clear communication and problem solving skills, who will be supportive and reliable members of the team.
