English National Opera is founded on the belief that opera of the highest quality should be accessible to everyone and was set up to be for everyone. It is for this reason that we stage opera of the highest quality always sung in English. It is why we have ticket prices which are affordable, or free, if you’re under 18. It Is why we work with local communities to bring opera to people who might otherwise not experience it. ENO’s ambition is to achieve greater diverse representation and this forms part of our inclusion strategy which will continue to evolve and develop over time to reflect the society in which we operate in, our work on stage, in our audiences and in our workplace.
The ENO Chorus is one of the finest professional operatic ensembles in the UK today and is committed to bringing opera sung in English to the widest possible audiences in thrilling and theatrically inventive productions.
A Chorister is a member of the Chorus of English National Opera, having as its main function the production and creation of opera, including concert performances, and music theatre, in all their forms to the highest possible standards, and the education and development of the audiences for the art form.
The job involves a commitment to the artistic integrity of the chorus, as well as giving the opportunity of personal development through training and the opportunity for playing and covering solo roles.
