Costume Supervisor

Salary: £48,339.11
Contract: 12- month permanent contract
Location: Union Court (Workshop), London Coliseum (Theatre), Stonelake (Warehouse) and other locations as required

We are currently looking to employ a proactive, knowledgeable and adaptable Costume Supervisor to join our Technical and Production unit at English National Opera.

Working with the Costume Department, you will be leading on designated ENO productions to realize all established designs to the highest standard.  You will work with a collaborative team, managing budgets, communicating across departments and liaising with creative designers to execute their vision.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Costume supervisor, with a good eye for colour and sampling
  • Proven ability of setting, managing and controlling budgets
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage themselves effectively, with the ability to work as part of a team and manage others
  • To have a good working knowledge of costume construction techniques and wardrobe systems
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel
  • Extensive knowledge of fabric and costume related manufacturers and suppliers
  • A flexible attitude with the ability to work in pressured situations
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and their application in the workplace
