The Drawing Supervisor is a key member of the Production Department here at ENO. They are responsible for draughting and model making (where required) across all elements of work in the ENO repertoire covering mainstage operas, new work, revivals and concerts plus any overseas hires. They also provide support to our community Engage department.

 

Role: Drawing Supervisor

Contract: Full-Time

Salary: £35,500 – £42,000, depending on experience

Location: London Coliseum

 

Responsibilities:

 

The main responsibilities of the position are to manage all venue and design drawings for ENO and London Coliseum productions. As the Drawing Supervisor you will ensure all drawings are kept updated and filed to ENO CAD standards, and you will work closely with production managers and designers to prepare production specific CAD drawings including groundplans, elevations and sections. You will work with members of the technical and production departments to produce season drawings such as onstage storage plans, flys plots, motor plans and trailer load drawings. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • To work with deputy PM’s, show managers, and lighting managers to produce and distribute plans and hanging plots as required.
  • To attend design meetings with designers and contractors, organising with designers and productions teams to transport and set up models, presentations and storyboards as required.
  • To oversee the collection, repair and safe and tidy storage of all models.
  • Be present onstage for fit ups and mark ups as requested by the production managers and be proactive in amending plans as shows develop while in rehearsals onstage.
