Head of Facilities Management

Salary: £60,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, 5 Days per week (35 hours). Out of hours and on calls expected; with attendance at Opening Nights and Special Events as required

Location: London Coliseum & occasional homeworking

 

We are recruiting a Head of Facilities Management to take responsibility for running Facilities at the London Coliseum and other sites operated by the English National Opera. This role manages our in-house Facilities Manager and oversees outsourced hard and soft service contracts that provide Maintenance, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services and Housekeeping. The role has a substantial project management and coordination function overseeing ongoing major capital project works on the fabric of the building.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 Years management experience in similar Facilities Management role in Hard and Soft Services ideally within a public venue, arts venue, theatre or similar.
  • Experience of managing and working with Facilities teams within a listed heritage building and understand associated legislation.
  • Proven track record of managing outsourced FM contracts in both hard and soft services.
  • Hold (or actively working towards) professional qualifications in Facilities Management ideally at Degree or Diploma Level (at least Level 5) with demonstrated continued professional development.
  • Membership of professional body such as the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) at Member (MIWFM) or Certified (CIWFM) level or similar.
  • Health and Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH Certificate or above.
  • Environmental and waste management qualifications
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and MS365
  • Ability to use planning and scheduling software.
