£40,000 – £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience

We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join the English National Opera one of the largest performing arts organisations in the UK.

This is a unique opportunity to steer and support a safety culture and promote The ENO Environmental and Sustainability programme.

Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, this role will work alongside other key members of the Management team to ensure that the ENO operates in a compliant and safe way by providing high quality competent advice in Health, Safety and Environmental Management.

Successful candidates will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, ideally within the performing arts or entertainment industry. They will possess extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and environmental sustainability practices, backed up by relevant, recognised qualifications. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, as the role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including staff, contractors, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of identifying potential hazards, implementing effective preventive measures, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. A demonstrated ability to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, conduct thorough incident investigations, and maintain accurate documentation is crucial.
