Anjali Mehra
Movement Director
Anjali Mehra joined Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures Dance company in 1999 and performed frequently with the company as a guest principal artist until 2019. She trained at Central School of Ballet, London where she also gained an MA.
Choreography/ movement direction highlights include: Daddy (Almeida); Flowers for Mrs Harris (Riverside Studios), Mavra, Pierrot Lunaire (ROH); Judgment Day (Park Avenue Armoury, NY); Cherry Town (WNO); Jacob Lenz (ENO); Rumi Musical (The Coliseum); L’Orfeo (Silent Opera); God Only Knows (Tate Modern); La Tragédie de Carmen, Oreste (Jette Parker Young Artist, ROH).
For the Watermill Theatre: Lord of the Rings– A Musical Tale, Othello (also co-director), Spike, Brief Encounter, As You Like It. Film credits: La traviata (as co-choreographer, Opera Glassworks); Moving in Time (New Adventures); Magic Me (as director/choreographer); Little Grasses Crack Through Stone (as director/choreographer, New Adventures).
