Copenhagen-based baritone David Kempster was born in North Wales and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. He began his career as a company principal with English National Opera and has subsequently appeared with many leading houses throughout Europe and the USA.

He has made several recordings, including the role of Sévère Les Martyrs with Opera Rara under Sir Mark Elder, and Peter in Elgar’s The Apostles at the BBC Proms.
