Dianne McIntyre
Choreographer
Dianne McIntyre is a choreographer whose work is influenced by historical, social and cultural movement expressions of African Americans. Her choreography has been on Broadway, West End theatre and over 40 regional US theatre productions.

Among her screen credits: Beloved (Oprah Winfrey) and Miss Evers’ Boys (TV Emmy nomination) and a recent film for Lauryn Hill.
Directors/writers she has worked with include: Des McAnuff, Jonathan Demme, Barlett Sher, Irene Lewis, August Wilson, Ntozake Shange, Douglas Turner Ward and Regina Taylor.
Awards: Doris Duke Artist Award, Guggenheim Fellowship, numerous National Endowment for the Arts grants. Besides her own dance/music ensembles, she choreographs for many companies, most recently the renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem.
