Jisu Song

South Korean violist Jisu Song recently graduated with a distinction in her Master of Arts Viola Performance degree from the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied under Professor Yuko Inoue and Professor Paul Silverthorne, emeritus principal violist of the London Symphony Orchestra and principal violist of the London Sinfonietta.
Jisu started with the violin at the age of 6 and after completing her undergraduate studies under Professor Neri Kim, she also started learning the viola.
After a year, she joined the prestigious Asian Youth Orchestra in 2017 where she performed over 20 concerts across Asia, North America and Europe, before pursuing her Masters at the Royal Academy of Music.
Since then, Jisu has performed with numerous ensembles around the world, including the London Sinfonietta, Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, Asian Youth Orchestra and USP Chamber Orchestra in South Korea, working with conductors such as Edward Gardner, John Wilson, Robert Trevino and James Judd.
