Tom Mannings
Lighting Designer
Tom Mannings started his career at ENO as a Lighting Technician and progressed through to Lighting Manager and resident Lighting Designer.
Design work at ENO includes: La forza del destino, Carmen, La traviata and The Barber of Seville (also Opera Liceu in Barcelona), Der Rosenkavalier (Opera Real in Madrid), Falstaff (New Israeli Opera), The Day After and Trial by Jury.
Career Highlights
Tom has worked for the Royal Opera House as Technical Manager and is presently Head of Technical Operations at ENO.
Other freelance theatre work includes: La rondine (Opera North); Peter Grimes (Bayerische Staatsoper and Canadian Opera); Don Carlos (Minnesota Opera); Wind in the Willows for Will Tuckett (ROH); The Marriage of Figaro (Pimlico Opera); The Marriage of Figaro and Falstaff (Forward Opera); The Recruiting Officer (Chichester Festival Theatre); The Juniper Tree (Broomhill Opera); various designs for Mecklenburgh Opera; Carmen (Pegasus Opera), Die Fledermaus (Fulham Opera); and Naked Opera, The Rinse Cycle (Unexpected Opera).
