Valeria Racco
Assistant Conductor
Italian pianist, coach and conductor Valeria Racco was formerly trainee répétiteur and a member of the music staff at the English National Opera, where she played for numerous productions working alongside international
conductors such as Karen Kamensek, Martyn Brabbins, Keri-Lynn Wilson, Hilary Griffiths, Antony Hermus, and directors Daniel Kramer and Phelim McDermott.

Career Highlights
She has worked with international singers such as Anthony Roth Costanzo, Brindley Sherratt, Michelle Young, Latonia Moore, Giselle Allen, Robert Hayward, Sarah Pring and Rafael Rojas. She returned to ENO in the 2018/19 Season for the Olivier Award-winning production of Philip Glass’s Akhnaten and now works regularly for opera companies such as ENO, Grange Festival, Opera North, Clonter Opera, Garsington Opera and Theater Hagen. This season sees her working on new productions of Macbeth and Così fan tutte (Grange Festival), La traviata and Orfeo (Opera North) in addition to It’s a Wonderful Life. Currently an opera role coach at the Royal Academy of Music, she is a visiting professor at the Birmingham Conservatoire and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
