ENO Drive & Live will allow people to continue to social distance if necessary within the safety of their own vehicles whilst enjoying a super-sized live opera performance and the work of ENO’s award-winning forces.

Taking place in the first three weeks of September in the grounds of Alexandra Palace, ENO Drive & Live will feature 12 rep performances of a 90 minute shortened version of Puccini’s La bohème with live singers and musicians spaced out in accordance with government guidelines.

The first performance will be free for NHS and frontline workers.

This is only one part of ENO’s planned autumn season – more news of which will follow soon. ENO plans to roll out ENO Drive & Live across the country and has already received significant interest in others interested in the format.
