National Treasures: Shakespeare’s Works in Opera

The Orchestra of ENO accompany a celebration of the UK’s most famous playwright and his influence on opera.

National Opera Studio present a semi-staged concert performance of scenes from operas and musical theatre based on the incredible writings of Shakespeare.

Directed and devised by celebrated international opera director Keith Warner, and conducted by David Parry, the programme will include extracts from Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Verdi’s Falstaff, Cole Porter’s Kiss Me Kate, and a few well-hidden operatic treasures along the way.
